THE STORY
A St. Louis Missouri Wedding Built Around Family
Andrea and Jason’s St. Louis Missouri wedding brought together two Italian families, a church that was part of their everyday life, and a reception connected to one of the city’s most recognizable Italian neighborhoods.
They were married at St. Gabriel, the parish they attended at the time, before heading to Rose of the Hill for the rest of the celebration. Their choices were not about following a wedding formula. Each place had a connection to who they were and the people joining them.
That is what gives this gallery its weight. Beyond the portraits are grandparents, cousins, parents, friends, quick reactions during the ceremony, crowded tables, and a reception that became less formal as the night went on.
THE CEREMONY
St. Gabriel
St. Gabriel was more than a beautiful church for Andrea and Jason. It was their parish, which meant the ceremony happened somewhere already connected to their life together.
The architecture gave the ceremony scale, but the smaller moments kept it personal. Family watched from the pews, reactions moved through the room, and the formal traditions unfolded alongside all the glances and gestures happening between them.
THE RECEPTION
Rose of the Hill
After the ceremony, their St. Louis Missouri wedding moved to Rose of the Hill, the Favazza family’s event venue near the city’s historic Italian neighborhood.
For two families with Italian roots, the location fit naturally into the story. Dinner gave everyone time to settle in before speeches, drinks, reunions across tables, and the gradual migration toward the dance floor.
By then, the formal part of the evening had started giving way to something looser. People stopped worrying about where they were supposed to stand and simply found each other.
THE PEOPLE
Parents, grandparents, cousins, and friends filled the room. These are the photographs that become more important with time, because they hold everyone who was there with them.
Their wedding brought generations of family into the same room. That is the part no timeline can manufacture.
Some of the people surrounding Andrea and Jason had known them their entire lives. Others belonged to newer chapters. For one night, all of those relationships existed side by side.

AFTER DINNER
Then the Dance Floor Took Over
Once dinner was finished, the room changed quickly. Ties loosened, conversations moved away from the tables, and the dance floor became the center of everything.
